Alphonse's Battallion is the player's army in Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis. An unnamed battalion of soldiers led by Alphonse Loeher, and originally a subdivision of the Order of the Sacred Flame under Rictor Lasanti. They experienced a change of allegiances after a series of events that resulted in Alphonse choosing to assist Cybil Alinda of the Hand of the Pope, and later to dismantle the conspiracy surrounding the legendary Longicolnis.
Despite their official status as Lodissian military, and their interest mostly aligning with Lodis, the battalion is mostly comprised of natives from Ovis.
After the events of The Knight of Lodis, the battalion was dismantled, with most of its members choosing to stay in Ovis to pursue personal goals, and others returning to Lodis or departing to lands unknown.
