- "Basic male class wielding sword and shield, having gained enough experience to fight on his own"
- — Description
The Fighter is a class in Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen and Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber. This class is also known as the Soldier in Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis, and the Warrior in Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together. The front line warriors of many armies, these fighting men aren't experienced, but have potential.
The Fighter has the appearance of a short man in armor, wielding a sword and shield. The base class for all male human characters, the Fighter makes an acceptable front row class but should be promoted as soon as possible. From the magical Wizards and Doll Mages, useful Beast Tamers , evil Berserkers and Ninjas or lawful Knights and Samurai, this class has a wide assortment of choices to promote into.
"A mainstay melee attacker adept with a wide variety of weapons. Jack-of-all-trades, master of none."Renamed the Warrior and made available for both male and female units. The Warrior wears practical armor for battle and is consistently protrayed wielding swords, though it has the widest range of melee weapons of all classes. As the description suggest, it's a balanced but limited and basic unit.
This class has been given some differences from previous versions. It can now access a variety of weapons and two great skills in the form of Mighty Impact (100% crit and hit, suppress counter) and Double Impact (attack twice). A warrior with a 2H Sword and Double Impact can do some impressive damage.
Despite these new advantages, the Warrior is still a terribly basic class and useless until Double Impact becomes available. Use this class at your own discretion.
Additional classmarks can be bought on any common shop.
