Ares is a mercenary of the Empire in Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen.
Story[]
Ares was merciless, extremely intelligent and could match the strength of any eagle man but was easily swayed by money. He was a former gang leader who roamed the Kastro Valley and was intimately familiar with the geography of the region.
Duke Apros knew of his specialized knowledge and promised Ares one hundred thousand Goth if he could hunt down his runaway bride Rauny Vinzalf. Ares used the wild rumors about the bride, that she was a dancer, assassin or scorpion that had murdered twenty imperial soldiers to his advantage. However, in the end he did not need to seek out Rauny because she found and killed the mercenary within Tash Kent.
Legend of Ogre Battle Gaiden: Prince of Zenobia[]
Ares has a cameo appearance as a secret recruitable character. He will appear at random during any Free Battle scenario, and will join if defeated.
