— Galf

Galf is an imprisoned demon in Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen, as well as a mentioned character in Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber. He is sealed within the Antanjyl region.

Story[]

The Ogre Battle[]

Galf was one of the underworld generals that commanded the demons and ogres during the Ogre Battle. He won many victories against the armies of humanity but was defeated by the Three Knights and sealed within the remote countryside of Antanjyl.

Sealed Within Antanjyl[]

Galf was kept weak within the seal by praying monks that lived beyond the mountains of the forested valley of Antanjyl. By using the magic of the Black Diamond, Rashidi contracted the demon Galf and promised that he would free him from the sealed land if Galf destroyed Destin and the rebellion. Using his limited powers, Galf mustered up the undead and vampires within Antanjyl and used them as his army against the rebels. However, Galf was defeated, his body crumbled, and his spirit was sealed within the underworld forever.

Recruitment[]

Galf can be found on the Antanjyl stage.

  • Defeat the stage boss Galf. The Reputation Meter must be almost empty and the Opinion Leader must have an Alignment lower than 31. The Brunhild must be in the player's inventory, and not equipped by any character.
  • Select "Yes" when prompted to hand over the Brunhild to Galf.

Notes[]

  • In Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Calibur, the two handed hammer, Sanscion, is said to have been Galf's personal weapon. Despite this, his battle sprite, which is a recolored version of the Devil class, in March of the Black Queen uses a scythe.
  • Whilst unconfirmed, it is possible given Galf's position in the Ogre Battle and great power, he is meant to be an ogre himself.
