Mannaflora Befonda is a non-playable character in Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together. She was Catiua's biological mother. She's long dead by the time of the game's story.

Mannaflora Befonda. A Bakram who was mother to Catiua.
Catiua was conceived after Mannaflora caught the eye of King Dorgalua while serving as handmaiden to Queen Vernotta. She was forced to flee after incurring the wrath of the queen. She died after giving birth to Catiua.
Background[]
While Mannaflora herself is a very minor character, appearing only during one flashback scene, her actions (namely, giving birth to Catiua) and existence are of great importance to the story.
From her short time on screen, it's learned that Mannaflora was of humble origin, originally coming from the countryside. Remarkably, she became a royal handmaiden, and in time became the most trusted confidante of Queen Vernotta.
While the King's interest in her ultimately led to the destruction of the Royal family, her feelings for the King in return are left ambiguous.
After Mannaflora was chased from the castle, the Queen led Dorgalua to believe that she died in an accident. Thus, he never learned of the birth of his daughter.
