Luvalon is one of the four Devas in Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen. He defeated the Divine Dragon Bytalth with his enchanted sword Bizen and bathed in its blood, making him the most powerful of the four Devas. However, this feat is seen as dubious as Bytalth was known to have already been killed by Fogel.
Luvalon was ordered by Empress Endora to search for the Grail, one of the Three Mystic Treasures she needed to rule the Sacred Xytegenian Empire. Luvalon traveled to the Ryhan Sea and stayed at Castle Solon, where he narrowly avoided the same fate as the Governor Randals, who was killed by the rebels.
However, he did fight the rebels at the Shrine of Kulyn and died at their hands. He gave them his sword before he perished.
