The Knight Commander (also known as Templar Commando in the SNES/PS version) is a special class in Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together. Previously exclusive to the Dark Knights Loslorien, and thus unavailable to the player, the PSP version made it possible to recruit Ozma, the only unit the player can get of this class.

Appearance[]

LuCT PSP Ozma Sprite

"A high-ranking knight of Lodis. Typically given command of 500 to 2000 troops, the dark knights Loslorien prefer attack in smaller numbers (30 to 100) of highly trained elites."

The Knight Commanders are the elite of the Lodissian imperial army, and thus their most feared and respected warriors. They prefer black armor and red tunics emblazoned with their order's symbol. They are skilled in multiple combat areas, including magic, and every particular Knight Commander have their own preferred combat techniques and skills, making them very diverse and unpredictable.

Overview[]

Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together (PSP)[]

  • Weapon type: Dagger, 1H Sword, 2H Sword, Hammer*, Whip, Crossbow.
  • Armor type: Heavy armor.

Another contendor for gamebreaker unit, and the closest of any to the versatility of the Lord class. The Knight Commander is very fast, can equip a wide variety of equipment, cast standard attack spells, cast healing spells, walk in water, become invulnerable to physical attack, slay beasts and dragons with ease, use Swiftfoot II and Rampart Aura IV, dual wield, and is an all around powerful fighter.

It nonetheless suffers from hybrid issues should to attempt to use it that way, but generally the Knight Commander should excel no matter how you choose to employ it. Realistically, this class' only weakness is vulnerability to status conditions due to the lack of Spell Ward III and IV.

Thanks to this class' tankyness and availability of Double Attack, it's recommended to employ it mainly as a front-line physical attacker. Daggers and 1H Sword can be more useful for damage, but as the only unit capable of using Whips effectively (and thus the weapon's Bewitch-inducing finisher) it's suggested to given them some consideration.

Additional classmarks can be obtained as drops from enemy Knight Commanders and Zombie Templars, or stolen from Zombie Templars at Reisan Way or Vanessan Way. Mind that Zombie Templars only appear when raining.

*Asterisk signifies it must be taught from other class.
